Sports Venue Safety and Security Training

Usher Training

Ushers are very important. You talk and interact with ticket holders on a regular basis. You are the primary source of information pertaining to the venue for all guest relations issues from ticket issues to the location of restrooms and concession stands.

This course provides tips on assisting difficult guests, resolving problems, identifying prohibited items, and the importance of communication.

You will also learn about identifying, assessing, and evaluating safety and security risks may occur in your section.

You must always Be Alert, Be Vigilant, to Be Safe!

 

The usher training lessons consist of:

Lesson 1: Basic Responsibilities

Lesson 2: Identification and Assessment of Risks

Lesson 3: Communication

Lesson 4: Problem Solving Tips

Lesson 5: Disabilities

Lesson 6: Code of Conduct

Lesson 7: Your Role as a Member of the Safety and Security Team

Lesson 8: Evacuation
