Andrea T. Schultz, U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Mrs. Andrea T. Schultz is the Department of Homeland Security Deputy Branch Chief for the Commercial Facilities Sector Branch in the Office of Infrastructure Protection. She is a former US Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician and a graduate of American Military University; she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security with a concentration on Homeland Security Threats.
Prior to her work with the Commercial Facilities Sector, Andrea’s experience was diverse and included developing security programs; conducting vulnerability assessments; and providing security training for various organizations to include Georgia Emergency Management Agency, Virginia Department of Transportation and the Pentagon SWAT team. She also worked as an analyst at the FBI Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC), in-processing and analyzing evidence and IEDs returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
In addition to graduating from the US Navy EOD School in 1990, Mrs. Schultz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security with an emphasis on Threats to the Homeland from the American Military University. She has also successfully completed the Department of State Postblast Investigative Techniques course taught by the ATF. Andrea is also a graduate of the Connecticut State Firefighter I Certification Course; she has completed the FEMA independent study Professional Development Series in Emergency Management and Hazardous Materials courses; she holds a certificate in Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), from the USDA Graduate School; and holds a certificate in Global Terrorism from the United Nations.
