Our Mission
Our program is top among academic institutions studying techniques to mitigate the security risks inherent in spectator sports venues. Through cutting-edge research, internationally recognized educational programs, training and innovative solutions, the National Center continues to enhance the level of preparedness at sporting events nationwide.

Research
Address important U.S. Department of Homeland Security issues dealing with such sports security concerns as explosives; chemical and biological attacks, command and control; infrastructure and geophysical issues; and other human factors. Together we can address capabilities for the prevention, protection, response and recovery aspects of emergency incidents at sporting events.
Technology
Assist NCS4 integrate technologies in addressing key issues in sports security operations, such as showcasing cutting-edge physical protection software and hardware
Education and Training
Collaborate with clients and employees in the development of policies and the implementation of training opportunities, exercises and technical assistance to build emergency capabilities at sports venues.
Service
Partner with NCS4 to develop effective sports security management systems such as threat and vulnerability assessments, best practices, policies and procedures and physical protection systems.
Scholarship
Support our students and faculty through scholarships for graduate students and researchers, endowments for research professors and internships for students studying sports safety and security.
