Evacuation Planning for Sport Venues
Description:
All major sporting venues face great challenges in developing an effective Evacuation Plan. Among the factors that must be addressed in an Evacuation Plan are immense crowds, traffic into and out of the sport venue, location of the sport venue, and egress points from the sport venue and surrounding properties. Planning for an evacuation at major sporting events takes a tremendous amount of coordination, communication and cooperation by the sport venue owners/operators and, as well as all levels of the response community (federal, state, local, and private).
The evacuation planning for sport venues workshop is intended to assist sport venue owner/operator with developing and implementing an Evacuation Plan. The workshop will assist sport venue owners/operators with preparing an Evacuation Plan, and determining when and how to evacuate shelter in place or relocate sport venue spectators and participants.
